Senior Design Engineer (AutoCAD & SolidWorks)

Dynamic and innovative young organization seeking a creative and experienced Product Design Engineer with a passion for innovation to join our dynamic team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our cutting-edge New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.

Location: Chennai (OMR, IT Hub, Near Perungudi)
Salary:  ₹ 1,00,000 - ₹ 1,50,000 per month

Preferred candidate: Highly motivated and experienced individual with minimum 2 to maximum 5 years of demonstrated industrial experience in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of success in real-time design and possess demonstrably strong design skills applicable to practical industrial applications.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD/Blueprints: The ability to produce and interpret wireframes, specifications, and blueprints is essential.
• Knowledge of Material Science: Product designers must possess a deep understanding of the materials they work with, whether it be concrete, metals, or fabric.
• Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Designers must have a solid grasp of the mechanics of a product and its component materials.
• Data Analysis: Products undergo numerous iterations of design, build, and testing. Designers must compile and analyze data from these iterations to ensure that the product functions as intended.
• Proficiency in Engineering Design Programs: Experience with engineering design programs such as Inventor, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), and SolidWorks.
• Creativity and Idea Development: Designers must be able to generate multiple innovative solutions to a given problem.
• Collaboration: Designers should be skilled at working collaboratively with their team to develop the most promising concepts.
• Communication and Presentation: Effective communication is crucial as designers must clearly articulate the design process to all stakeholders. Reporting progress and test results are among the expected communication responsibilities.

Educational Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech. (Mechanical) or relevant technical degree.
• Candidates from National Institute of Design (NID), United World Institute of Design (UID), or any similar institute of design will be given preference.

Other Qualifications:

• Experienced with Microsoft office software and ERP systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks while staying organized
• Open-minded and adaptable to evolving responsibilities
• Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Language Proficiency:

• Proficient in English, Hindi, Telugu & Tamil is a plus
